Welcome to Brack’N’Brew Ullswater’s Brewing Co, our brewhouse is situated at the Brackenrigg Inn, Watermillock overlooking the idyliic shores of Ullswater in the Cumbrian Lake District, an UNESCO world heritage site. We converted the old stable block to the rear of the Brackenrigg into our microbrewery, keeping its rustic feel to blend in with the surrounding area. We brewed the first beer back in September 2015, when we found a recipe that we really liked our Boathouse Blonde was born, now we produce 5 different ales and are always looking for ideas for our next brew.

Rambling Bookkeeper Bitter 4.1%
A traditional session ale. Mellow honey aroma with a moderate hop bitterness and a sweet roast malt taste.

Boathouse Blonde 3.8%
Our very first, and still our personal favourite, this blonde packs a punch. Hoppy nose with hints of grapefruit, bitter but refreshing taste.

Alfred’s Golden Ale 3.2%
A very popular light crisp golden ale, a balanced hop flavour packed with citrus aroma and a hint of spice.

 Steamer Stout 4.4%
Our Stout uses espresso beans from Bruce&Luke’s Coffee in Carlisle, which makes a rich tasting stout with notes of chocolate, caramel and dark fruits.

Aira Force IPA 5.9%
Loaded with a combination of 5 different hop varieties, this powerful IPA is bursting with flavour.
